Rotfjellet
The Rotfjellet project is located in central Norway and contains a nickel-sulfide target that is completely untested.
The host rock consists of Paleozoic (485-419 Ma) serpentinized ultramafics within the Köli Nappe Complex, which is the same host rock as the serpentinite-hosted nickel deposit of Bluelake Mineral’s Rönnbäcken Project, which EMX beliebes to be analogous. Apart from age-dating, the Rotfjellet ultramafic intrusion has not seen any research and/or exploration for nickel potential.
The intrusion covers 4.1 km², which offers a larger strike length than the Rönnbäcken Project. Additional ultramafic target zones have been identified on the license property, based on geophysics.
Rönnbäcken serpentinite-nickel deposits:
600 Mt @ 0.10% Ni sulfide
20Mt @ 0.11% Ni sulfide
¹NOTE: Mineral Resource Estimate was calculated at a cut-off grade of 0.05% Ni-in-sulfide with metal prices of $10 USD/lb nickel. The mineral resource was published in Preliminary Economic Assessment Update for the Rönnbäcken Nickel Project, Sweden, effective date January 28, 2022. Qualified Person: Mike Armitage, CGeol, CEng, MIMMM. The resource provides geologic context for EMX’s Project, but this is not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on the Project.
Note: The nearby/analogous mines and deposits in the region provide context for EMX’s Project, which occurs in a similar geologic setting, but this is not necessarily indicative that the project hosts similar tonnages or grades of mineralization.
