Tromsø Au

EMX’s Tromsø Gold project contains multiple styles of mineralization including orogenic style gold and VMS targets. The project is located in northern Norway, in the underexplored Archean Ringvassøya Greenstone Belt - the northwestern extension of Central Lapland Greenstone Belt (CLGB). The CLGB hosts multiple deposits including Agnico Eagle’s Kittila*, which is Europe’s largest gold mine. Mineralization in the Ringvassøya Greenstone belt is hosted in hornblende schists, amphibolites and meta-sediments. Multiple occurrences in the area have never seen any thorough follow-up.

Historically, exploration mainly targeted VMS occurrences but gold was never a focus. In 2023, EMX completed a regional BLEG program that confirmed existing anomalies and produced new anomalous basins. These are focus areas for follow-up exploration and EMX plans to use ionic leach soil sampling to identify new targets in preparation for drill-targeting.

The island maintains its own hydroelectric facility, resulting in very low energy prices.

1 EMX BLEG samples were collected in accordance with industry standard best practices. Samples are prepped for sampling before submittal to ALS in Malå, Sweden where they are prepped for analysis. Accredited control samples blanks and accredited standards are inserted into the sample intervals regularly.

*Nearby mines and deposits provide context for the project, but do not necessarily indicate similar size, styles or grade of mineralization within the project.
