Vena

The Vena project is located in the world-class Southern Bergslagen mining district. This Cu-Co SEDEX system is 8 km from and similar to the Zinkgruvan Mine*. The Vena Mine was active from 1770-1880 and produced an average grade of 0.1-0.5% Co and is the type locality for kobellite and izoklakeite.

Mineralization occurs in vein and disseminated massive sulfides related to high-T stringers near feeder zones hosted in volcanoclastics with interbedded calcareous horizons. The project sits on the largest gravity anomaly in the region (even larger than Zinkgruvan).

Historic drilling in the 80s and 90s (12 drill holes) targeted mineralization below known historical workings. Sulfide mineralization was encountered in all holes and has not been followed up.

*Nearby mines and deposits provide context for the project, but do not necessarily indicate similar size, styles or grade of mineralization within the project.
