Roninlampi

The Roninlampi project is located in Finland’s Kuhmo Province, which belongs to a N-S trending greenstone belt and is characterized by Au, Ag, Ni occurrences.

Historical exploration by the GTK in 2001-2002 led to the discovery of gold-bearing glacial boulders and outcrops, including the Roninlampi occurrence, with 572 ppm Au in outcrop, and the Karvosenvaara occurrence, with 2.82 ppm Au in outcrop3. GTK completed limited historical drilling (13 holes, 993 m) at these anomalies from 2002-2003, but no consideration was given to structural controls at the time.

Geochemical anomalies from regional till sampling2 coincide with complex folding and lithological boundaries, resulting in a clustering of Au and As anomalies among low background levels (typically below detection limit). Multiple large target areas at Roninlampi are defined by the clusters of geochemical anomalies and the strong positive correlation between folding and Au in soils. Because the current targets are based on regional scale surveys, a more detailed understanding of the local factors controlling mineralization would allow for refined targeting.

Suggested next steps for the project include detailed geologic and structural mapping, soil sampling, relogging of historical GTK drill holes, and further drilling.

3 GTK/283/03.04.15/2024 including GTK’s Rock geochemical assays for boulder observation samples, recieved 22 April 2024, EMX has not performed sufficient work to verify the published assay data, and these data should not be verified as being compliant with NI43-101 standards. These data should not be relied upon until they are confirmed, however EMX considers the data to be reliable and relevant.
