Pyramid
Norra’s Pyramid project contains a variety of porphyry Cu-Au and epithermal style exploration targets. The project is located approximately 65km north of the Dease Lake area, within the Quesnel Terrane of British Columbia, a highly prospective lithostratigraphic package that hosts major porphyry Cu-Au and epithermal style deposits in the region. At Pyramid, multiple zones of porphyry-style alteration have been recognized with attendant copper and gold anomalies developed in volcaniclastic host rocks and dioritic intrusions. Also preserved are zones of high level, epithermal style gold mineralization.
Scout drilling in 2016 and 2017 has returned long intercepts of low-grade copper and gold mineralization in multiple prospect areas. Further exploration work will continue to test the porphyry targets, but will also asses the zones of epithermal style gold mineralization seen on the property.
EMX has been granted a 1% NSR royalty on the Pyramid project along with the sale of the Bleikvassli, Sagvoll, and Meråker polymetallic projects in Norway, and the Bastuträsk volcanogenic massive sulfide (“VMS”) project in Sweden to Norra Metals Corp. (previously OK2 Minerals) as announced in a December 13, 2018 news release.
*Note: The nearby mines and deposits in the region provide context for EMX’s Project, which occurs in a similar geologic setting, but this is not necessarily indicative that the project hosts similar mineralization.
