Morros Blancos is a 7,900 hectare royalty asset that lies within the Paleocene Central Belt of northern Chile that hosts important porphyry copper deposits, such as Cerro Colorado, Spence, Sierra Gorda, and Relincho. Morros Blancos is within 10 km of the Amancaya epithermal gold-silver mine and 55 km southwest of the Guanaco gold-silver mine. Morros Blancos is an early-stage exploration property with two priority epithermal and porphyry copper-gold targets associated with extensive hydrothermal alteration and zones of stockwork veining, Morros Blancos Norte (MBN) and Morros Blancos Sur (MBS).

Both MBN and MBS represent zones of extensive advanced argillic alteration or “lithocaps”, dominated by intense quartz-alunite alteration within larger areas of quartz-alunite-dickite-pyrophyllite and kaolinite alteration. Limited, peripheral historical drilling (2,730 m) shows propylitic and sericitic alteration at depth at both target areas. Clay alteration mineral identification was supported by Terraspec near-infrared mineral analysis. High-temperature alunite (K-alunite) and high-temperature kaolinite (WX-kaolinite) tend to be focused and are generally coincident with the best geochemical anomalies at surface. Hydrothermal alteration mineralogy and zonation patterns, including high-temperature minerals, combined with multi-element geochemical anomalies from extensive historical and more recent sieved surface geochemical sampling surveys, including Mo and Bi, define central target areas at both Morros Blancos Norte and Sur. Morros Blancos Sur also displays silica flooding and a quartz-veinlet stockwork partially exposed at surface. The stockwork is coincident with the best geochemical and geophysical anomalies. Center line or “B” type veinlets with molybdenite have been observed in historical drillcore to the west of the MBS target.

EMX acquired a 1% NSR on the Morros Blancos property from Revelo Resources in 2020 (See EMX Press Release dated March 26, 2020). The project is operated by Pampa Metals a publicly traded Canadian company (CSE: PM), see their website for more project details:

Note: The nearby mines and deposits mentioned above provide context for EMX’s Project, which occurs in a similar geologic setting, but this is not necessarily indicative that the project hosts similar tonnages or grades of mineralization
