Victoria Sur

The Victoria Sur property is contiguous with EMX’s Victoria Norte property, both of which are situated along the Domeyko Cordillera porphyry copper belt in northern Chile, which is host to some of the world’s largest copper deposits and mines.

The primary target at Victoria Sur is Nueve Vidas, which displays both lower-grade, potentially bulk-tonnage, porphyry-gold style mineralization and cross-cutting, high-grade and sulfide rich, gold-silver-base metals structures typically 1m to up to 12m in width.

Significant drill intercepts in the high-grade structurally hosted mineralization include:

  • 8m @ 10.5 g/t Au and 29 g/t Ag
  • 1m @ 6.38 g/t Au and 53.2 g/t Ag
  • 4m @ 8.94 g/t Au and 38.8 g/t Ag

Significant intercepts in the lower-grade, bulk-tonnage porphyry mineralization zones include:

  • 22m @ 0.85 g/t Au + 0.39 g/t Ag
  • 72m @ 0.40 g/t Au + 0.13 g/t Ag

Additional targets at Victoria Sur include Pisacas, Cenizas, Victoria I, and Victoria II. Pisacas displays semi-massive magnetite veins and replacements in andesitic volcanic rocks and may be a Fe-rich skarn related to the porphyry system at Nueve Vidas. Cenizas is a large, relatively uneroded lithocap with advanced argillic alteration and gold-bearing structures intersected in drilling and deep porphyry potential. Prospective features at Victoria I include low-sulfidation epithermal style veins. Prospective features at Victoria II include veins and stratabound mineralization, accompanied by silicification and jasperoid alteration. Victoria II may represent an extension of sediment-hosted Au-Ag mineralization from Quebrada Chaco at Victoria Norte.

EMX acquired the property from Revelo Resources in 2020 (see EMX Press Release dated March 26, 2020).

Drill results are from Revelo News release dated Sept 19, 2017. EMX has not done sufficient work to classify the sampling and intercepts as compliant with NI 43-101 regulation. However, EMX believes these results to be reliable and relevant.

Note: Nearby mines provide context for the project, but do not necessarily indicate similar styles of mineralization within the project.
