Leilipalo

The Leilipalo project is located in northern Finland within the highly-prospective Central Lappland greenstone belt. The Central Lappland greenstone belt is host to multiple gold discoveries, many of which are hosted by the Sirkka Shear, just south of the property. It is the largest mafic volcanic-dominated province in Fennoscandia. Aquiring ground in the belt is extremely competitive and there are multiple ongoing exploration and drill campaigns in the area.

The property lies 10 km from Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä Mine and is hosted in the same geological and structural setting as it and other gold deposits in the belt. Several structural features converge on the Leilipalo license, which are further highlighted in the alternatively-processed aeromagnetic map from GTK. Historical GTK till geochemistry data shows strong gold anomalies in shallow tills.

Recommended further exploration at Leilipalo would include a detailed ground/drone mag survey, analysis of host rock deformation and structure from mag results, BOT drilling in areas of complexity, and reoriented geochemistry surveys to avoid paralleling and better analyze mineralized structures.

Nearby mines and deposits provide context for the project, but do not necessarily indicate similar size, styles or grade of mineralization within the project.
